75th Regular Session
March 31, 1997
TO: Honorable Kenneth Armbrister, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1386
Committee on State Affairs By: Haywood
Senate
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1386 ( Relating
to title to materials and equipment in the state library system.)
this office has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1386-As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated. The bill could possibly result in a very small
savings to local governments because they would no longer be
required to report, track, and inventory materials and equipment
costing between $300 to $1,000.
