LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 24, 1997 TO: Honorable Eddie Lucio, Jr., Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1425, Committee Report 1st House, Substituted Committee on Intergovernmental Relations By: Nelson Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1425 ( Relating to confirmation elections and costs relating to the establishment of certain county development districts.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1425-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The bill would allow a county to order that costs associated with the creation of a county development district, including publishing costs, public hearing costs, and the cost of a confirmation and sales and use tax election, be paid by the person petitioning the county for the creation of the district.
