In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1451 ( Relating 
to the addition of territory to or exclusion of territory from 
a county development district.) this office has detemined the 
following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1451-As Introduced
         
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
         

         
 
          
This bill would require an election to add territory to a county 
development district.  The cost of an election would depend 
on the number of residents living in the territory to be added. 
 The median cost of an election has been calculated at $0.40 
per resident, based on data collected in a survey conducted 
by the Texas Association of Counties in December 1996.
