LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 17, 1997 TO: Honorable Bill Ratliff, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1491 Committee on Finance By: Ellis Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1491 ( Relating to the creation of the self-sufficiency fund to develop job training for certain recipients of the financial assistance program for persons with dependent children.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1491-As Introduced No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend Subtitle B, Title 4 of the Labor Code by adding Chapter 308 which would create a self-sufficiency fund outside of the state treasury for use by public community colleges, technical colleges, and community-based organizations as start-up or emergency funds to develop job training programs for certain recipients of financial assistance.
