In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1735 ( Relating 
to the authority of a general-law municipality to annex additional 
areas.) this office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1735-As Introduced
         

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
         

         
 
          
This bill would allow municipalities with a population of 700 
to 1,000 to annex areas without the consent of the residents 
or voters in the area.

This bill would facilitate annexations 
by such municipalities, allowing them to expand their tax bases 
and increase revenues accordingly.  No significant fiscal implication 
is expected as a result of this bill's enactment.
