In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1763 ( Relating
to the authority of the Texas Department of Human Services to
contract for Medicaid-certified beds in nursing facilities.)
this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1763-Committee Report 1st House, as amended

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The number of additional beds eligible to be
Medicaid certified, per this bill, is expected to be insignificant
relative to the number of existing Medicaid certified beds.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
