LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 6, 1997 TO: Honorable Bill Ratliff, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1906 Committee on Finance By: Ratliff Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1906 ( Relating to the administration of oil overcharge funds.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1906-As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. FISCAL ANALYSIS The bill would amend or repeal several sections in Chapter 2305 of the Government Code. These changes relate to the administration of oil overcharge-related programs and funds. The bill would establish as legislative policy that the minimum size of the Loanstar program would be $95 million, consisting of cash on hand and loan commitments. This provision would not have a significant impact on state funds because the Loanstar program receives funding from oil overcharge settlement allocations by the federal government, plus loan repayments. LOCAL No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
