         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 06, 1997, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a 
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Pete Patterson at 8:32 am.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Patterson, L.P. "Pete"; Cook; Flores; Hupp; Roman; Turner, Bob (6).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Swinford; Oakley; Rabuck (3).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         Testimony was taken.
         
         (Representatives Swinford; Oakley; and Rabuck now present.)  
          
         At 9:52 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed to reconvene upon 
         adjournment of the House, in E2.010.
         
         The committee reconvened at 11:03 am and was called to order by the chair, Representative Patterson, L.P. 
         "Pete".  
         
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Swinford; Cook; Flores (3).
