         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 13, 1997, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a 
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Pete Patterson at 8:10 am.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Patterson, L.P. "Pete"; Hupp; Rabuck; Roman; Turner, Bob (5).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Swinford; Cook; Flores; Oakley (4).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         HB 192
         
         The chair laid out HB 192.

         The chair recognized Representative Turner, Bob to explain the measure.  
         
         Testimony was taken.  
         
         (Representatives Cook and Flores now present.)  
         
         The chair recognized Representative Turner, Bob to close on the measure.  
         
         Representative Swinford moved that HB 192 be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation 
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion 
         prevailed by the following vote:  
         
         Ayes:     Representatives Patterson, L.P. "Pete"; Swinford; Cook; Flores; Hupp; Rabuck; Roman; Turner, 
              Bob(8).
         
         Nays:     None (0).

         Representative Swinford offered a complete committee substitute.
