Pursuant to a notice posted on February 20, 1997, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a
public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Pete Patterson at 8:04 am.

The chair laid out HB 1052.
The chair recognized Representative Gutierrez to explain the measure.
Representative Cook offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Testimony was taken.
The chair recognized Representative Gutierrez to close on the measure.
Representative Rabuck moved that HB 1052, as amended, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.
