         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 27, 1997, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a 
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Pete Patterson at 8:04 am.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Patterson, L.P. "Pete"; Swinford; Cook; Flores; Hupp; Rabuck; Turner, Bob 
                   (7).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Oakley; Roman (2).
         
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out HB 950.  
         
         The chair recognized Rep. Delwin Jones to explain the measure.  
         The chair recognized Rep. Delwin Jones to close on the measure.  
         
         Representative Swinford moved that HB 950 be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation 
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  
         
         The motion prevailed by the following vote:  
         
         Ayes:     Representatives Patterson, L.P. "Pete"; Swinford; Cook; Flores; Hupp; Rabuck; Roman; Turner, Bob 
              (8).
         
         Nays:     None (0).
         
         Present not Voting: None (0).
         
         Absent:   Representative Oakley (1).
         
         At 8:15 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of
