Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on January
29, 1997, the House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee
on Education met in a public hearing and was called to order
by the Chair, Representative Henry Cuellar at 8:10 am.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representative Greenberg (1).
A quorum was present.

On the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting
was recessed at 9:55 a.m. until upon adjournment of the House.
The Subcommittee on Education was called to order and roll was
taken at 11:20 a.m.

Absent: None (0).
A quorum was present.

On the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting
was recessed at 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m..

taken at 1:25 p.m.
