House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Criminal Justice
         75th Legislature

         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 6, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Criminal Justice met in a 
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, 
         Representative Sylvester Turner at 8:35 am.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Turner, Sylvester; Gallego; Hinojosa; 
                   Price; Walker (5).
         
         Absent:   None (0).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         Board of Private Investigators and Private Security Agencies
         
         Testimony was taken.  See attached witness list.
         
         At 8:45 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting stood at ease for ten minutes.  At 9:00 am the 
         Subcommittee reconvened in a working session.
         
         Members considered agency budgets.
         
         At 5:00 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
