         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 18, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations met in a work session and was 
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Robert Junell at 
         6:25 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Cuellar; Davis; Eiland; Finnell; Glaze; Greenberg; 
                   Haggerty; Heflin; Hernandez; Hinojosa; Hochberg;

                   Sylvester; Walker; West, George "Buddy" (23).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Gallego; Moreno; Raymond; Tillery 
                   (4).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         
         
         The Committee reviewed prefiled amendments for C.S.H.B. No. 1.
         
         
         
         At 9:10 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
