         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 15, 1998, the House  
         Joint Sub-Committee on TRS Care met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the Chair, Representative Henry Cuellar   
         at 9:10 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Telford; Rangel; Sadler; Averitt;  
                   Cuellar; Hochberg; Pitts (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Berlanga; Goolsby; Walker (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Representative Sadler made opening remarks regarding the  
         direction of the subcommittee. 
          
         Testimony was taken. 
          
         Discussion followed. 
          
         At 11:32 a.m., on the motion of Representative Sadler and  
         without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the  
         call of the chair.
