         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 20, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Major Information  
         Systems met in a public hearing and was called to order by the  
         Chair, Representative Kubiak  at 10:09 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Kubiak; Averitt; Finnell; Greenberg;  
                   Hochberg; Mowery; Pitts; Raymond (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Glaze (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Chairman Kubiak made opening remarks about the goals of the  
         subcommittee and agency compliance with Year 2000 conversion  
         and reporting. 
          
         Testimony was taken (see witness list). 
          
         At 1:15 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
