         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 27, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Performance Based  
         Budgeting met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the Chair, Representative Cuellar  at 1:33 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Averitt; Cuellar; Hernandez; Mowery;  
                   Tillery (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Davis; Haggerty; Price; Walker (4). 
          
         A quorum was present 
          
         Testimony was taken from DPS , Court of Criminal Appeals,  
         Supreme Court, and Office of Court Administration on customer  
         satisfaction assessment. 
          
         Testimony was taken of Most Improved Agencies, Agencies with  
         Good Performance Activities, and Agencies Needing Improvement  
         in Performance Activities. 
          
         At 3:50 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
