         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 7, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a 
         work session and was called to order by the Chair, 
         Representative Talmadge Heflin at 5:10 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Davis; Finnell; Raymond; 
                   Swinford (5).
         
         Absent:   None (0).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         
         The subcommittee discussed the agency budget requests that had 
         been presented to the subcommittee in prior public hearings.
         
         
         At 8:30 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
