         11:30 am or upon lunch recess of the full House Appropriations 
         Committee

         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 14, 1997 and an 
         announcement at the February 16th work session, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a 
         work session and was called to order by the Chair, 
         Representative Talmadge Heflin at 12:30 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Davis; Finnell; Raymond; 
                   Swinford (5).
         
         Absent:   None (0).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         The subcommittee discussed pending issues before the 
         subcommittee.
         
         At 12:45 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
