         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 24, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met jointly 
         with the S/C on Health and Human Services in a work session and 
         was called to order by the Chair, Representative Talmadge Heflin 
         at 7:00 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Davis; Swinford (3).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Finnell; Raymond (2).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         The subcommittee discussed the allocation of TANF funds among 
         the health and human services and workforce agencies.
         
         At 8:15 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
