         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 12, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Criminal Justice met in a 
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, 
         Representative Sylvester Turner at 3:30 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Turner, Sylvester; Gallego; Price; 
                   Walker (4).
         
         Absent:   Representative Hinojosa (1).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         The Subcommittee met to discuss agency budgets.
         
         (Representative Hinojosa now present.)
         
         At 6:30 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
