         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 06, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Article IX met in a public 
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative 
         Sherri Greenberg at 12:15 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Greenberg; Cuellar; Glaze; Heflin; 
                   Kubiak; Pitts; Swinford (7).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Delisi; Turner, Sylvester (2).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         
         Representative Delisi now present.
         
         The subcommittee held and organizational meeting on Article 
         IX.
         
         At 12:25 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
