         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 24, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Article IX met in a work 
         session and was called to order by the Chair, Representative 
         Sherri Greenberg at 12:15 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Greenberg; Cuellar; Delisi; Glaze; 
                   Heflin; Kubiak; Pitts; Swinford, Turner, Sylvester 
                   (9).
         
         Absent:   None (0).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         
         The subcommittee discussed provisions in Article IX.
         
         At 1:10 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
