Pursuant to a notice posted on April 7, 1997, the House
Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Emoluments, Subcommittee on
Emoluments met in a public hearing and was called to order by
the Chair, Representative Pete Gallego at 6:00 pm.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Gallego; Averitt; Hinojosa; Pitts;
Tillery; Walker; West, George "Buddy" (7).
Absent: Representatives Kubiak; Moreno (2).
A quorum was present.

The Subcommittee discussed matters relating to cellular
phones, vehicles, housing provisions, clothing and cleaning
allowances, and miscellaneous emolument riders.
At 7:35 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
