         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 4, 1997, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Dedicated Funds met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Sylvester Turner at 8:40 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner, Sylvester; Glaze; Greenberg;  
                   Raymond (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Haggerty (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         (Representative Haggerty now present.)   
          
         Lita Gonzalez and Kathie Griswold, State Comptroller's Office  
         gave a general overview of funds dedication and consolidation. 
          
         Bill Stinson, Texas Association of Realtors, testified. 
          
         No action was taken on the posted bill. 
          
         At 9:30 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
