         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 8,  
         1997, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Mark  
         Stiles at 12:20 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Danburg; Dutton; Hernandez; McCall; Place; Turner,  
                   Sylvester (10). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Sadler (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Rep. Place moved to place the following bills on a calendar  
         for Thursday, April 10:  H.B. 1107 on the Major State  
         Calendar; H.B. 425, H.B. 492, H.B. 710, H.B. 784, H.B. 787,  
         H.B. 991, H.B. 1277, H.B. 1342, H.B. 2918, H.B. 1511, H.B.  
         2075, and H.B. 2373 on the General State Calendar; and H.R.  
         339 on the Resolutions Calendar.  The motion was seconded by  
         Rep. McCall and passed by the following record vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Hilbert; Berlanga; Brimer;  
                        Danburg; Dutton; Hernandez; McCall; Place;  
                        Turner, Sylvester (9). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      Representative Stiles (1). 
          
         Absent:        Representative Sadler (1). 
          
         At 12:25 pm, on the motion of Representative Danburg and  
         without objection, the meeting was recessed subject to the  
         call of the chair.
