         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2,  
         1997, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Mark  
         Stiles at 5:35 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         The Chair recognized Rep. Hilbert, who moved to place the

         Resolutions Calendar.  The motion was seconded by Rep.  
         Berlanga and passed by the following record vote:

                        Turner, Sylvester   (9). 
          
         Nays:          None (0).

         At 5:40 pm, on the motion of Representative Dutton and without  
         objection, the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the  
         chair.
