House Committee on Redistricting 75th Legislature February 5, 1997 9:00 am Speaker's Committee Room Pursuant to a notice posted on January 31, 1997, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Delwin Jones, at 9:20 am. The roll was answered as follows: Present: Representatives Jones, Delwin; Giddings; Hightower; Hunter; Kubiak; Price (6). Absent: Representatives Glaze; Grusendorf; Marchant; Moreno; Wilson (5). A quorum was present. The Chair recognized David Hanna from the Legislative Council as a resource witness to explain the current status of House and Congressional court cases. (Representative Grusendorf now present.) The Chair recognized Allen Ware from the Legislative Council as a resource witness to discuss RedAppl computer enhancements and availability of the computer. The committee discussed setting up an orientation class for the committee members on the RedAppl computer. (Representative Moreno now present.) The Chair asked the members to gather again at 10:10 am for a committee picture. There being no further questions from the committee of the resource witnesses, at 9:41 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair. ______________________ ______________________
