         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 16, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Corrections, Subcommittee on Traditional Prison  
         Industries met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the Chair, Representative Ray Allen at 9:35 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Marchant; Serna (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 11:40 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
