         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 17, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Corrections, Subcommittee on Adult and Youth  
         Prison Capacity met in a public hearing and was called to  
         order by the Chair, Representative Ray Allen at 9:10 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Allen; Alexander; Hupp (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Edwards; Serna (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 12:00 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 12:05 pm on April 1, 1998.  The  
         committee reconvened at 12:05 pm and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Allen.  The roll was answered as  
         follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Allen; Hupp (2). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Alexander; Edwards; Serna (3). 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 1:22 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
