         Pursuant to a notice posted on July 24, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Corrections, Subcommittee on Traditional Prison  
         Industries met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the Chair, Representative Ray Allen at 1:42 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Allen; Farrar; Hupp (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Marchant; Serna (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 2:45 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
