         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 5, 
         1997, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, 
         Subcommittee on Procedural Matters met in a formal meeting and 
         was called to order by the Chair, Representative Hinojosa  at 
         6:00 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Dunnam;   Hinojosa (2).
         
         Absent:   Representative Galloway (1).
         
         HB 749
         
         The chair laid out HB 749.  
         
         Representative Dunnam offered a complete committee substitute.  
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
         
         Representative Dunnam moved that HB 749, as substituted, be 
         reported favorably to the full committee with the recommendation 
         that it do pass.  
         
         The roll was answered as follows:
         
         Ayes:     Representatives Dunnam; Hinojosa (2).
         
         Nays:     None
         
         PNV:      None
         
         Absent:   Representative Galloway (1).
         
         At 6:05 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
