Pursuant to a notice posted on April 4, 1997, the House
Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing
and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Allen
Place at 8:15 am.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Place; Talton; Dunnam; Galloway,
Carolyn; Keel, Terry; Reyna, Arthur (6).
Absent: Representatives Farrar; Hinojosa; Nixon, Joe (3).
A quorum was present.
Rep. Talton moved that the committee minutes from April 2,
1997 be corrected to include the direct referral of bills to
the Subcommittee on Bail Bonds. There being no objection the
motion passed.
HB 2635
The chair laid out HB 2635.
Rep. Talton moved that the committee reconsider the vote by
which HB 2635 passed the full committee and was sent to local
and consent calendar. There being no objection the motion
passed.
Representative Talton moved that HB 2635 be reported favorably
to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and
be printed. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Place; Talton; Dunnam;
Galloway, Carolyn; Keel, Terry; Reyna, Arthur
(6).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Farrar; Hinojosa; Nixon, Joe
(3).

The chair laid out HB 3350.
Testimony was taken.
The chair referred the bill to the Subcommittee on HB 3350.
The chair named the following members to the Subcommittee on
HB 3350: Representative Keel, Terry, Chair, Representatives
Talton and Galloway, Carolyn .
At 9:50 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
