         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 12, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, Subcommittee on Civil  
         Commitment/Violent Offenders met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Hinojosa at 10:05  
         am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:
