         Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on February 
         26, 1997, the House Committee on Economic Development, 
         Subcommittee on House Bill 39 met in a public hearing and was 
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Van de Putte at 
         4:08 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:

         The chair laid out HB 39.  
         
         The chair recognized Representative McCall to explain the 
         measure.

         The bill was left pending without objection.
