         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 25, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Economic Development met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the Co-Chairs, Representative Oliveira  
         and Representative Hilderbran at 9:47 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   (9). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 12:00 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed for lunch until 1:15 pm on the same  
         day. 
                                   
         The committee reconvened at 1:26 pm and was called to order by  
         the Co-Chairs, Representative Oliveira and Representative  
         Hilderbran.

         At 3:31 pm, on the motion of the Co-Chairs and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of  
         the chairs.
