            Pursuant to a notice posted on February 26, 1997, the House 
            Committee on Elections, Subcommittee on HB 947 met in a 
            formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair, 
            Representative Place at 11:35 am.
            
            The roll was answered as follows:  
            
            Present:  Representatives Gallego; Madden; Place (3).
            
            Absent:   (0).
            
            A quorum was present.

            The chair laid out HB 947.  
            
            The bill was reported back without amendment to the full 
            committee by record vote(unanimous).
            
            At 11:45 am, on the motion of the chair, and without 
            objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of
