         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 13, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Elections met jointly with the House State  
         Affairs Subcommittee on Campaign Finance in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Debra  
         Danburg at 10:12 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Danburg; Gallego; Hodge; Isett;  
                   Madden; Place (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Jones, Jesse; Denny; Galloway,  
                   Carolyn (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.

         (Representative Jones, Jesse now present.)   
          
         At 1:39 pm, on the motion of Representative Denny and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of  
         the chair.
