         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 10, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the Acting Chair, Representative Jerry Madden at  
         10:18 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         A quorum was not present.
