            Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 
            18, 1997, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a 
            formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair, 
            Representative Steve Holzheauser at 12:32 pm.
            
            The roll was answered as follows:  
            
            Present:  Representatives Holzheauser; Hawley; Davis; 
                      Driver; Merritt; Moffat; Wilson (7).
            
            Absent:   Representatives Smithee; Torres (2).
            
            A quorum was present.

            The chair laid out HB1611 as pending business.  
            
            The chair referred the bill to the Subcommittee on HB 1611.
            
            The chair named the following members to the Subcommittee 
            on HB 1611:  Representative Hawley, Chair, Representatives 
            Merritt and Moffat. 
            
            At 12:33 pm, on the motion of the chair and without 
            objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of
