         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 23, 1998, the  
         Subcommittee on Environmental Education for the House  
         Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the Subcommittee Chair,  
         Representative Charlie Howard, at 4:10 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Howard, Jackson, Talton (3). 
          
         Absent:   Hirschi, Puente (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken. 
          
         At 6:50 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
