         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 12, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Environmental Regulation, Subcommittee on  
         Environmental Education met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the Subcommittee Chair, Representative Charlie  
         Howard at 9:40 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Howard; Jackson; Talton (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hirschi; Puente (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Without objection, Representative Talton gave an invocation. 
          
         Testimony was taken. 
          
         At 2:53 pm, on the motion of the subcommittee chair and  
         without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the
