         Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on April  
         17, 1997, the House Committee on House Administration met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Tony Goolsby at 12:02 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Goolsby; Luna, Vilma; Alvarado;  
                   Chisum; Telford (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Hamric; Hawley; Maxey;  
                   Tillery; West, George "Buddy" (6). 
          
         SB 819 
          
         The chair laid out SB 819.   
          
         (Representative Hawley now present.)   
          
         Representative Chisum moved that SB 819 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent  
         Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Goolsby; Luna, Vilma; Alvarado;  
                        Chisum; Hawley; Telford (6). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Bailey; Hamric; Maxey; Tillery;  
                        West, George "Buddy" (5). 
          
         At 12:05 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
