         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 23, 1998, the House  
         Committee on State, Federal & International Relations met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Bob Hunter at 9:42 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hunter; Isett; Pitts; Wise (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Moreno; Chavez; Palmer; Seaman;  
                   West, George "Buddy" (5). 
          
         A quorum was not present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 11:56 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
