House Committee on Land & Resource Management 
         75th Legislature

         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 12, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Fred Bosse at 2:20 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Bosse; Crabb; Hamric; Howard;  
                   Jackson; Krusee (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Turner, Bob; Mowery; Staples (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Chair allowed committee members to make opening remarks to  
         the audience. 
          
         The Chair explain the committee interim charge to, "review  
         local and state funding mechanisms to support mitigation of  
         coastal erosion". 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         The Chair discussed possible dates for future public hearings. 
          
         At 6:25 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
