         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 31, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Natural Resources met in a public hearing and was 
         called to order by the Chair, Representative David Counts, at 
         3:10 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Counts; Walker; Culberson; King; 
                   Lewis, Ron; Moffat; Puente (7).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Cook; Corte (2).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         Representative Cook now present.
         
         The Chair discussed organizational matters.
         
         Testimony was taken.  
         
         At 4:50 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
