         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 3, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Dam Safety met  
         in a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative David Counts, at 10:40 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Counts; Cook; Puente (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Moffat; Lewis, Ron (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Representative Moffat now present. 
          
         Dam Safety 
          
         The subcommittee considered testimony related to the safety  
         and status of the state's dams. 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 11:55 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
