         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 6, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Public Health, Subcommittee on Indigent  
         Health Care met in a joint public hearing with the House  
         Committee on County Affairs and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Coleman at 9:10 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Coleman; Hirschi; Delisi;  
                        Maxey (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Davila; Glaze; Uresti (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         (Representative Janek now present.) 
          
         The committee took testimony on the following interim  
         charge: (see attached witness list) 
          
              Review the Indigent Health Care Act of 1985 for  
              possible updating. 
          
         At 12:15 p.m., on a motion of the chair and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call  
         of the chair.
