Pursuant to a notice posted on August 19, 1998, the House
Committee on Public Safety, Subcommittee on Shooting Range
Safety met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the
Chair, Representative Carter at 10:08 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Carter; Madden; Olivo (3).
Absent: Representative Reyna, Elvira (1).
A quorum was present.
The Subcommittee met to consider and approve the interim
report to be submitted to the full committee for inclusion
into the interim report of the Committee on Public Safety to
the Seventy-sixth Legislature.
Recommendation number one was adopted by the following record
vote:
Ayes: Representatives Carter; Madden; Olivo (3).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).

Recommendation number four, as amended, was adopted by the
following record vote:

Nays: None (0).

The entire Subcommittee report, as amended, was adopted by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Carter; Madden; Olivo (3).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Reyna, Elvira (1).
A letter to Representative Keith Oakley, Chairman, House
Committee on Public Safety, bearing the signature of each
member of the Subcommittee, was signed by the members who were
present. Representative Reyna, who was absent, will be given
the opportunity to sign the letter accompanying the
Subcommittee report.
At 10:40 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without
objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of
the chair.
