         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 30, 1997, the House 
         Committee on State Recreational Resources met in a public 
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative 
         Edmund Kuempel at 8:34 am.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Kuempel; McCall; King; Longoria; 
                   Merritt (5).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Hightower; Hilderbran; Horn; Palmer 
                   (4).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         Testimony was taken.
         
         (Representatives Hilderbran; Horn; and Palmer now present.)  
         
         At 9:45 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
